Please Consider Donating to Help the Town of Phil Campbell

If you are interested in helping the town of Phil Campbell, consider making a donation to the 501(c)(3) nonprofit group: Citizens for Phil Campbell Community Development Corporation.  The group was founded in the wake of the tornado and their mission is to pursue community improvement projects.  The group is currently trying to expand the memorial park in downtown Phil Campbell by purchasing adjacent land, buying new playground equipment, and constructing bathroom facilities but they are in need of funding.  Below are some images of the adjacent land they wish to purchase and clean up:

We would greatly appreciate your consideration in donating to their group so these improvements to the memorial park could be made.  Since the group is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, all of your donations to them are tax deductible.  The group is led by Phil Campbell resident Bruce Forman (256-668-4617).  To get your donation to the group you can donate to them via Paypal by using the link below.

Also, you might remember Mountain View Baptist Church which was featured in our film.  The church was destroyed by the tornado, but was rebuilt by volunteers from around the country. The church insurance did not cover all of their building materials though, so they had to take out a loan.  Funds are still needed to pay back the loan. If you are interested in making a donation to the church please make a check out to Mountain View Baptist Church and mail it to:

Although Phil Campbell High School was rebuilt there weren't enough funds to reconstruct an auditorium (which was one of the nicest buildings in the old school).  The students use the gym space for an auditorium, but the principal has told us that the acoustics have been poor and audiences can't hear what's going on.  The school is currently trying to raise $7,500 to purchase a curtain system that will improve the acoustics of the gym so that audiences can hear the student plays.  In addition to the curtain system there are an assortment of other improvements the administration would like to make to the school grounds.

If you are interested in making a contribution to Phil Campbell High School they can be reached at (256-331-2150).  Checks can be mailed to:
