If you are interested in helping the town of Phil Campbell, consider making a donation to the 501(c)(3) nonprofit group: Citizens for Phil Campbell Community Development Corporation. The group was founded in the wake of the tornado and their mission is to pursue community improvement projects. Since the group is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, all of your donations to them are tax deductible. The group is led by Phil Campbell resident Bruce Forman. Also, you might remember Mountain View Baptist Church which was featured in our film. The church was destroyed by the tornado, but was rebuilt by volunteers from around the country. The church insurance did not cover their full rebuild effort, so they had to take out a loan for materials. Funds are still needed to pay back the loan.
